EZ LED, a professional LED display manufacturer, is launching EZ LED Academy for knowledge sharing about LED displays. For the first chapter, we would like to talk about the batching issue, which is one of the biggest headaches facing the entire industry.

Batching issues refers to a fact that whether the LED diodes used for an order come from one and same batch or not. During the LED display manufacturing process, the key link is to select LED diodes of different wavelengths and get diodes of specified tolerances as 'same bin' or 'same batch'. Basically, the tighter the tolerance, the better color and brightness uniformity. So ideally, for one order, all LED diodes should come from one same batch to ensure brightness and color consistency.

With that said, let's take a look at its impact on different applications. First of all, rental and staging market, or for event production companies. It is normal that for a rental house or event production company to buy a relatively small quantity for initial purchase. But in rental business, you may easily find you are short of gear all the time. You can choose to either buy additional LED panels, or to sub-rent or cross-rent panels from others. Either way, the panels has to be able to mix and match and be used as 'one-batch'. Here comes the batching problem, are you able to buy additional panels which are same batch as your initial purchase? Are you able to sub-rent or cross-rent panels that are same batch as yours? Sadly, the answer is usually no for both.

Next let's see how the problem affects fixed installation, especially the ultra high definition (UHD) market. You never know what tolerance level your LED displays are at as they all look the same when newly bought. However, the problem first may come in 3 months, you may find some LEDs are burning faster with unexpected brightness reduction, and soon you may hate your LED wall as it looks like a checker board due to poor uniformity in both brightness and color.

So how EZ solve this problem? All our orders are using close-tolerance bin (CTB) LED diodes. How does that work? The industry standard for same-batch brightness tolerance is 1:1.5, while EZ LED implements a much higher standard of 1:1.2. The industry standard for same-batch wavelength tolerance is 5 to 10 nm, while EZ LED sticks to a 2.5nm tolerance level. This way, all our orders delivered, even not same batch, for outdoor rental series product, they can mix and match without having to be same-batch as they are already within an extremely tight tolerance. For indoor rental series product, EZ LED panels can also be mixed used as one wall. However, there will be noticeable differences when displaying solid colors, especially white background. For UHD installation market, EZ CTB technology delivers superior-quality products with fully consistent color and brightness.

EZ LED has exported to over 20 countries with a proven record of success in the market. Excellent product with affordable pricing, that's EZ LED!
